Earlier this month, UNIQLO has officially announced that it’s set to open its online store in the Philippines when the second half of 2020 comes. Although if you check its online store or download the app, you are greeted by a welcome note saying they’re currently on soft launch with items already listed and priced.

The move to bring an e-commerce platform in the country was dictated by strong customer demand for online shopping. Through this online store, the company aims to extend the reach of the brand, bringing UNIQLO and its LifeWear apparel to many new customers around the Philippines.

It will also bring the brand closer to existing customers, providing a new and convenient shopping experience to complement its much-loved network of retail locations across the Philippines.

UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy of apparel comes from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality, and longevity — some of the main reasons why it has established a following here and in other countries.

This soft launch just makes sense if they are pushing for an official launch during the second half of the year. And with that in mind, listed items are still limited but they’re already good to check out. We reached out to the people involved and they said there will still be an official introduction of the new website and mobile app once these are fully operational.
