Acer has unveiled a fresh lineup of devices at CES 2025, including the Swift Go 14 and 16, as well as the Aspire Vero 16. These devices bring a combination of power, portability, and eco-conscious design to cater to a variety of user needs.
Acer Swift Go 14 & 16
The Swift Go series includes two models, the 14-inch and 16-inch variants, both designed for users who want a balance of portability and performance.
Powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (up to Core Ultra 9), the Swift Go laptops deliver impressive speed, capable of handling demanding tasks. The devices come with Intel Arc Graphics, ensuring smooth visuals for work or entertainment.
The 14-inch and 16-inch models both feature OLED screens with HDR TrueBlack 500 certification for rich colors and deep contrast. The 14-inch model offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution, while the 16-inch model bumps it up to a 2880 x 1800 resolution. Both options deliver a high-quality viewing experience, with a 16:10 aspect ratio that maximizes screen space. For memory and storage, the Swift Go can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, allowing users to run multiple applications and store large files with ease.
Battery life is another strong point, with the 14-inch model offering up to 27.5 hours of video playback, while the 16-inch model lasts up to 22.3 hours.
In terms of design, the Swift Go models are thin and lightweight, making them easy to carry around. The 14-inch version weighs 1.3 kg, while the 16-inch model comes in at 1.5 kg. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and security options like facial recognition and a privacy shutter.
Acer Aspire Vero 16
For those looking for a more eco-friendly option, the Acer Aspire Vero 16 delivers a strong performance with sustainability in mind. Powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (up to Core Ultra 7), the Aspire Vero 16 handles both productivity tasks and creative work with ease.
It also features Intel Arc Graphics for reliable visual performance.
The Aspire Vero 16 has a 16-inch WUXGA display (1920 x 1200 resolution), which is great for users who prefer a larger screen for multitasking. Like the Swift Go, the Aspire Vero 16 is available with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB of M.2 SSD storage. The battery life offers up to 16 hours of video playback, providing plenty of power for all-day use.
In terms of design, the Aspire Vero 16 continues Acer’s commitment to sustainability with a chassis made from post-consumer recycled materials. It also comes equipped with essential security features such as a fingerprint reader and privacy shutter.
The device weighs 1.8 kg, making it a bit heavier than the Swift Go, but still portable for most users.
