Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) unveiled the highly anticipated All-New Honda CR-V and also introduced Honda CONNECT.
Three variants were introduced including a full hybrid and, for the first time in the country, a turbo variant as well. Pricing for the all-new Honda CR-V are as follows:
- 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT – PhP 2,590,000
- 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD – PhP 2,280,000
- 1.5 V Turbo CVT – PhP PhP 2,100,000
The All-New Honda CR-V marks a significant milestone in Honda’s journey towards achieving carbon neutrality for all its products and corporate activities by 2050.
Spearheading this initiative in the Philippines is the first-ever CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT.
This model represents a substantial leap in terms of advanced safety and driving technologies, embodying Honda’s steadfast commitment to sustainable mobility solutions with minimal environmental impact.
At the heart of the All-New Honda CR-V is the revolutionary e:HEV technology, which seamlessly combines Honda’s gasoline engine with cutting-edge electrification technologies to deliver impressive fuel efficiency and an unparalleled driving experience.
This innovative system comprises two electric motors, the Traction Motor and the Generator Motor, paired with a new four-cylinder, 2.0-liter Direct Injection Atkinson Cycle engine.
The combined output delivers 148 PS and 183 Nm of torque from the gasoline engine and a remarkable 184 PS and 335 Nm of torque from the electric motors. The e:HEV system intelligently toggles between three modes: EV Drive Mode for battery-powered driving, Hybrid Drive Mode for a blend of electric and gasoline power, and Engine Drive Mode for high-speed cruising.
The e:HEV’s intelligent powertrain also boasts a regenerative braking system that harvests energy during deceleration, enhancing the vehicle’s electric power range and fuel efficiency. Furthermore, the battery can be replenished by the engine acting as a generator.
To instill confidence in customers, the All-New CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT is backed by an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer battery warranty, offering peace of mind.
For the first time in the Philippine market, the All-New Honda CR-V offers a turbocharged gas engine, available in the 1.5 V Turbo CVT and 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD models.
These variants feature a 1.5-liter Direct Injection DOHC VTEC engine, equipped with a high-efficiency turbocharger and enhanced exhaust system, delivering 190 PS and 240 Nm of torque. This power increase provides improved acceleration and confidence during overtaking maneuvers.
Impressively, the All-New CR-V delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, with the e:HEV variant achieving 29.4 km/l in urban driving and 16.4 km/l in extra urban driving, based on the United Nations Regulation 101 standards.
Honda’s dedication to safety is evident in the All-New CR-V, equipped with the latest generation of Honda SENSING driver-assistive technology. This advanced system includes Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam, and for the RS e:HEV CVT variant, the Adaptive Driving Beam, enhancing visibility and safety for all occupants.
Another noteworthy addition to the All-New CR-V is the Honda CONNECT, offering smart telematics technology for seamless connectivity between users and their vehicles.
Honda CONNECT empowers owners to monitor their vehicle’s status, receive alerts, and even communicate with their car via a smartphone application, enhancing safety, security, and convenience.
The All-New CR-V further solidifies its reputation for safety by achieving a five-star rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP), thanks to its advanced safety systems and occupant protection.
There are five colors available: Platinum Pearl White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteroid Gray Metallic, Ignite Red Metallic, and Canyon River Blue Metallic.
Ignite Red Metallic will be exclusively available on the 2.0 RS e:HEV CVT variant while Lunar Silver Metallic will be exclusive to the 1.5VX AED Turbo CVT and the 1.5 V Turbo CVT variants.
