The ASUS Design Thinking borne the Zenbook brand in 2010 – we discovered the demand for laptops that looked more like fashion accessories than just functional devices. More than a decade after, today, we stay true to the Zenbook design focus. The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is the paragon of style, function, and performance in one sleek and lightweight device.
To make this launch more remarkable, we have partnered with Filipino social entrepreneur and fashion accessory designer Zarah Juan to develop a limited edition, sustainable, locally made bag.
The Zarah Juan brand is the designer’s solution for single-use bags. Her journey as a designer and an entrepreneur brought her to her calling — strengthening the livelihood of Filipino artisans. It has now evolved into a brand known for its #ProudLocal pieces made by Filipinos from different parts of the country.
Aside from environmental sustainability, Zarah Juan pushes for social sustainability and upholds cultural continuity through showcasing Filipino heritage. This holistic approach has inspired us to collaborate with her today.

About the Zen Tote
The Zarah Juan Zen Tote materializes ASUS’ thrust towards human-centric design thinking. Made by the artisan communities in the country and of locally available materials, the Zen Tote depicts the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality — the perfect accessory with the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED
It’s timeless and effortlessly portable that you can take it anywhere. This local artisan-made accessory is made of wooden beads weaved together by the Artisan Community in Zamboanga City. It makes up the overall structure of the bag. The rest of the bag parts are assembled by the Artisan Community in Bulacan.
The straps are made of 100% leather, and the champagne gold label at the bottom front don the Zarah Juan and the ASUS logos. Inside is a ripstop nylon fabric lining for easy cleaning and maintenance. The cushioned pocket perfectly fits the Zenbook S 13 OLED and provides enough protection for the laptop. The laptop is thin and light, so users will have ample space to put their everyday essentials in the Zen Tote.
As part of this collaboration, ASUS Philippines will also conduct an activity in one of the artisan communities this year, further cementing the brand’s dedication to sustainable livelihood of Filipino artisans.
