The company announced that it has inked deals with four major dealers in the country. The company had a sneak peak of its vehicles at a local event and, as expected, we’re seeing the company’s range of EVs. Who is VinFast? VinFast, a subsidiary of Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s largest private enterprises, was founded in 2017. In just a few years, VinFast has made significant strides in the automotive world, thanks to its state-of-the-art manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, which boasts up to 90% automation. In its home country, VinFast boasts being a prominent name in the industry boasting over 50% market share in 2021 for the passenger car market. One of the most popular models VinFast sold in 2023 is the VFe34 which will also be making its way to the Philippines. VinFast’s Entry into the Philippines VinFast’s official entry into the Philippine market was marked by a brand launch event in Manila, where they signed agreements with four leading dealers: EV Solutions, K1 Prestige Bay Motors Inc., Autoflare Corporation, and MNV Auto Group Inc. The first VinFast showrooms are set to open in Manila by the end of June 2024, with vehicle deliveries starting in the third quarter. The initial VinFast lineup VinFast is set to introduce a range of electric vehicles tailored to different market segments. VinFast battery subscription VinFast offers a flexible battery subscription policy that allows customers to purchase EVs with or without the battery, lowering the initial cost and making electric vehicles more accessible. For those opting for the subscription, VinFast provides a free battery replacement and maintenance program if the battery capacity falls below 70%, ensuring peace of mind. VinFast will also offer a market-leading warranty of 7 to 10 years on their vehicles, showcasing their confidence in the quality and durability of their products. To support their ambitious plans, VinFast aims to open dozens of dealerships across the Philippines in 2024. These dealerships will be strategically located on major roads in Manila and other key cities, catering to the growing middle class and the increasing demand for electric vehicles.
