Is this a true-blue color-changing phone?
Though we’ve seen UV-enabled color-shifting before, it was more of a gimmick since the color changes back after a few minutes. Infinix, however, has announced E-Color Shift technology at CES 2024 which may finally give us a new way to personalize our smartphones.
Infinix’s E-Color Shift allows mobile phone panels to change and maintain vibrant colors without consuming power. Awarded the Omdia Innovation Award, E-Color Shift utilizes E-Ink Prism 3, employing microstructures where color particles with positive and negative charges move to display desired colors based on applied voltages.
In simpler terms, tiny structures within the phone use charged color particles to show different colors when voltages are applied. This innovation lets users personalize their phone’s back panel extensively, expressing their unique style through custom designs.
The phone’s outer shell can easily switch ‘skins’ without using high power. The accompanying software lets users customize up to 60 areas on the phone’s hardware with different colors and personalization choices. You can even show things like the time and mood in a cool layout, giving your device a new and fresh vibe.
In addition to E-Color Shift, Infinix showcased cutting-edge technologies at CES 2024.
Infinix AirCharge, utilizing multi-coil magnetic resonance and adaptive algorithms, facilitates wireless charging up to 20 cm and at 60-degree angles. It extends wireless charging up to 20 cm and now accommodates 60-degree angles, providing a convenient way to charge devices during activities like gaming or video streaming with 7.5W power.
To address mobile phone battery failure in extreme cold, Infinix introduces the Extreme-Temp Battery. Developed collaboratively with leading tech suppliers, this battery operates seamlessly even in temperatures as low as -40°C, ensuring dependable performance and endurance in chilly environments. The charging capability spans from -40 °C to 60°
Infinix also unveiled its debut ‘Infinix Carpool Show,’ featuring tech and lifestyle influencers exploring upcoming mobile charging technologies en route to CES 2024. The series, to be launched on Infinix’s official global social media platforms during CES week, provides firsthand experiences with these innovations.
