What sets this apart is the company’s dedication to meeting specific requirements from a German luxury carmaker. The challenge: achieve a distinctive night-time appearance with suspended light guides no more than 1mm in diameter. Unlike traditional 6mm plastic light guides, the combination of LASER diode and optical fibers ensures a unique and stylish brand signature, occupying minimal space while offering a dazzling appearance.

Beyond aesthetics, Marelli’s innovation champions sustainability. The LASER wire technology not only outshines current plastic light guide solutions in terms of weight but also boasts superior power efficiency. Compared to LEDs, achieving the same illumination and homogeneity would demand three times the power consumption.
