Doogee has announced that it will soon be offering the pro variant of the recently launched S98.
Taking inspiration from aliens, the Doogee S98 Pro is easily identifiable with its rigged black and gray scheme and bold design choices that are meant to feel out of this world.
Front and center, we see the camera module housing a 48-megapixel Sony main camera alongside a 20-megapixel night vision camera that can detect objects using infrared light.
Interestingly, the Doogee S98 Pro is built with a professional-grade thermal sensor. This is used to accurately detect draught, dampness, leaks, electrical shorts, blockages, and elevated temperatures.
The Doogee S98 Pro also boasts a Dual Spectrum Fusion algorithm that utilizes both the thermal sensor and the main camera sensor. It will overlay images from each senor to produce more detailed thermal images and help users identify problem spots.
The company has yet to disclose other specs apart from the phone’s camera system and thermal sensors but it’s confirmed to launch sometime in early June of this year.
It’s possible, though, that the specs of the pro variant may not stray too far away from its base model which is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor and offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
