Doogee V20 ultra-rugged 5G smartphone to launch this February

The ultimate rugged phone is coming — and it’s not looking bad at all.

Teased over the past few months, Doogee has finally announced that its ultra-rugged phone — the Doogee V20 — will be launched this February 21.

Being MIL-STD-810 certified, the Doogee V20 is designed as a versatile and durable phone that’s waterproof, drop-proof, and shockproof. It’s also capable to withstand both high and low temperatures.

It harbors a very rugged design that comes in 3 colors with two finishes. The Knight Black and Wine Red variants offer a carbon fiber finish while the Phantom Grey gets an AG frost matte finish.

The Doogee V20 is fronted by a 6.43-inch Samsung AMOLED display with 2K resolution and also has a secondary 1.05-inch display on the rear which offers useful information such as time, battery levels, alarms at a glance.

You’ll also be able to read notifications and reminders, accept or drop calls, as well as control music.

Internally, it’s powered by an octa-core processor, unnamed as of now, and runs alongside 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The latter is expandable to 512GB using a TF card. The phone also supports dual 5G.

Furthering its versatility, there’s a 6000mAh battery onboard that can supposedly last up to 3 days with normal use. It supports 33W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

For cameras, the V20 is equipped with a triple camera system headlines by a 64-megapixel main. It’s accompanied by a 20-megapixel night vision camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle. Around the front is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Doogee V20 is priced at $399 (approx. PhP 20,370) and will be available for preorder starting February 21 through AliExpress. Additionally, the first 1000 buyers on launch date will receive a $100 discount bringing it down to just $299.
