There have been attempts at stair-climbing robot vacuums but Dreame’s latest CES reveal is one to look out for.
The X50 Ultra robot vacuum does all the things your usual robot vacuum can but being outfitted with a motorized swing arm, it gains the ability to climb stairs. With Dreame’s ProLeap System, the X50 can tackle steps up to 6cm high so it can, for example, get through a stairs landing. It can also adjust its height thanks to VersaLift Navigation. This allows the X50 Ultra to clean under furniture with ease.
It also features a HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush which prevents hair from wrapping around the brushes (especially helpful if you’ve got pets) and is even equipped with DToF LiDAR for 360-degree scanning to map your home and create the most efficient cleaning path.
The Dreame X50 Ultra will be available for US$ 1,699.99 starting February 14, 2025, with pre-orders opening on January 7. You can even snag a special discount of US$ 390 and a free cleaning kit (worth $149.99) if you pre-order.
At this year’s CES, Dreame also relays its intention of building a full ecosystem of smart devices to tackle all aspects of cleaning – from the floors to the pool. Apart from the X50 Ultra, it also showcases a smart, cordless robotic pool cleaner.
The Z1 Pro Robotic Pool Cleaner offers a powerful suction rate of 8,000 gallons per hour and is equipped with PoolSense technology which lets it automatically adjust to the shape of your pool.
The Z1 Pro’s LiFi Control System uses optical communication for precise control, making sure the cleaner doesn’t miss a spot. And with improved horizontal waterline cleaning, it’s 50% more efficient than your average pool cleaner. The Z1 Pro is available for $1,599.99 starting March 2025, with pre-orders starting January 7.

The Dreame H12 Pro will be available for US$ 449 starting February 2025.
