Epson, a global technology leader, has announced the launch of the Epson WorkForce ES-C380W and ES-C320W A4 document scanners – the latest duo of scanning solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of modern document management.
According to CBRE’s 2023 Asia Pacific Office Occupier Sentiment Survey, companies in the region continue to embrace a hybrid workforce, providing flexibility for employees to choose where they would like to work. However, operating and supporting a hybrid workforce requires an investment in the right tools and technologies. Indeed, as employees increasingly find themselves navigating both in-person and remote work, the need for seamless and digital document management has become more critical than ever.
Epson’s latest innovations, the ES-C380W and ES-C320W, seamlessly fit into this era of hybrid work with features designed to meet the demands of the modern workforce. From compact home offices to bustling corporate spaces, these scanners are designed to empower productivity, enhance collaboration and streamline workflows across diverse work settings.
Get Organised in a Snap Anywhere
Designed for fast and easy document management, the ES-C380W and ES-C320W are the successors of the DS-360W. Compared to its predecessor, these new models are able to scan more types of media and feature duplex scanning at a speed as fast as 30 ppm/60 ipm. Both scanners feature a sturdy 20-page Auto Document Feeder (ADF) and can easily handle stacks of paper of different sizes for continuous scanning. Besides that, these models are designed compact in size and are manufactured with up to 34% recycled plastic.
Additionally, switching between vertical path and straight path scan modes is simple and convenient. The dual path scan modes will cater to user requirements in terms of the scanning space available and media types. The vertical path scan mode is designed to allow scanning in narrow spaces, suitable for settings with limited desk space such as hospital registration counters, hotel receptions, and similar environments. Users can easily switch to the straight path scan mode for scanning thick documents, such as passports, plastic cards, envelopes, or booklets up to 5mm thickness.
Better Workflows for Better Collaboration
Both new models offer a robust solution to managing workflow with the Epson ScanSmart® software. Users can easily scan, edit and upload documents to cloud storage services for easy access and sharing. The intuitive workflow solution also has built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities that enable users to create searchable PDF documents for easy keyword searching.
Additionally, the ES-C380W and ES-C320W are also equipped with image quality adjustments and a host of enhancement features, enabling users to improve text sharpness, as well as correct edge folds, tears, border shadows and punch holes.
The WorkForce models provide extensive wireless scanning options. Users can scan to smartphones, tablets, computers, and the cloud using the Epson ScanSmart desktop software application or the Epson Smart Panel® mobile app, enabling collaborative work from either home or the office. The ES-C380W goes a step further with its ScanWay® standalone scanning operation which supports network sharing function. Users can scan to a USB drive, network folders, email, or popular cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive at the touch of a finger on the bright 2.4″ LCD touchscreen panel with no computer required.
Derek Tan, Head of Sales and Marketing, Epson Singapore said, “In an era defined by hybrid work, our ES-C380W and ES-C320W scanners represent more than just an innovation – they represent a shift towards adaptable solutions. Epson is proud to be evolving with workplace requirements, not only keeping pace with the demands of the modern workforce but enabling users to be productive and efficient wherever work takes them.”
