Epson unveils next-generation ColorWorks CW-C8050 label printer

-

Epson has launched the ColorWorks CW-C8050, a new on-demand color label printer designed to meet the high-volume printing needs of industries such as manufacturing and packaging.

Built for efficiency, the CW-C8050 delivers fast, high-quality prints with enhanced features that make it ideal for businesses looking to streamline their workflows. Capable of printing at speeds of up to 11.8 inches per second, this printer uses Epson’s advanced PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology and UltraChrome DL pigment inks, which produce labels that are smudge-resistant, fade-resistant, and feature vibrant colors, clear text, and sharp barcodes. The CW-C8050 supports a variety of media types, including matte, gloss, film, and synthetic materials, and can handle print widths ranging from 1 to 4 inches. It also accommodates thicker media up to 0.6mm, thanks to its adjustable platen gap.

One of the standout features of the CW-C8050 is its precise color matching, supported by spot color management and ICC profiling, which ensures accurate and consistent color across every print.

Maintenance is kept to a minimum with Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT), which detects and clears any blocked nozzles to reduce manual intervention. Additionally, the printer is equipped with high-yield ink packs that provide a total ink capacity of 1.9 liters, reducing the frequency of ink replacements and minimizing waste.

For convenience, the CW-C8050 offers a variety of connectivity options, including USB 3.0, high-speed Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi. It also supports cloud printing and is compatible with existing systems, such as SAP Direct Printing. Through Epson Cloud Solution PORT, businesses can remotely monitor printer status, track ink consumption, and manage their printer fleets to ensure optimal performance. By allowing businesses to print high-quality labels on-demand, the CW-C8050 helps reduce the need for pre-printed labels and waste, providing both cost savings and environmental benefits.
