GrabMart Beta now live to deliver everyday goods

-

Getting your everyday necessities without leaving the house is about to get easier. Grab has just introduced the beta version of GrabMart to further widen its array of services and, of course, to help urge people to stay indoors during this enhanced community lockdown.

Since it’s still in its beta stage, the service is not yet in its full capacity. Right now, the company says it’s available only in select areas of Metro Manila with plans to expand its reach. They are also looking at providing a wider assortment of products in the future.

With it, one can search and select everyday goods ranging from packaged food, beverages, personal care items, and more.

Here’s how you can use GrabMart:

  • Download the Grab app if you still don’t have it.
  • Launch the app and select ‘Mart’.
  • Select a GrabMart merchant.
  • Search and select from products available.
  • Place an order and wait for your rider to deliver your items.

According to Grab, ‘Mart’ will only be seen on the app if the service is available in your area. Writing from Pasig City, we checked our Grab app but the service still looks unavailable for this area.

The list of merchants is still undisclosed as of now but it should be noted in the app before you place your items to order. Grab says they begin delivery as early as 8 AM and go as late as 2 AM as long as the store of your choice is still open.

Although, Grab adds that since we have an ongoing lockdown in Metro Manila, operating hours may differ.

The fee for delivery starts at PhP 120 and varies per location of the store. As of now, only GrabPay and Cash on Delivery are accepted, but Grab prefers to go for cashless transactions to lessen contact and help avoid spreading the virus.
