Hearthstone’s latest expansion, Fractured in Alterac Valley, is now available!
Fractured in Alterac Valley introduces 135 new cards as well as the Battle for Atlterac Valley event, the new Honorable Kill keyword, Legendary Quests, and more!
Battle for Alterac Valley
In this new event, players will be able to choose to play as members of the Horde or the Alliance. Two free legendary cards are available to claim for each side — Elder Sharman Drek’Thar for the Horde and Mountain King Vanndar Stormpike for the Alliance.
From December 7 to January 11, quests will be available that will allow players to claim Honor points. The faction with the most points by the end of the event will win and receive a Diamon version of the faction’s leader card.
New keyword: Honorable Kill
To deliver an Honorable Kill, players must deal exact damage to vanquish a minion. Doing so will unlock bonuses such as cost reduction for the player’s spells or gaining a +1/+1 each time an Honorable Kill is dealt.
Mercenary Heroes
The game’s 10 Mercenary Heroes have now been upgraded to Hero Cards. When dealt, they trigger game-altering effects like increasing maximum Mana crystals to 20 or the ability to summon 2 minions at a time.
