HONOR enhances safety with Deepfake Detection and AI Defocus Eye Protection

-

HONOR has globally introduced two groundbreaking on-device AI innovations at MWC Shanghai 2024, aimed at enhancing user safety and health: AI Defocus Eye Protection and AI Deepfake Detection.

AI Defocus Eye Protection: Combatting Myopia

Nearsightedness is on the rise globally due to prolonged screen usage. HONOR addresses this issue with AI Defocus Eye Protection, a technology designed to simulate the effect of defocus glasses directly on your smart device.

This helps slow down the elongation of the eye, a primary cause of myopia. Users have reported an average reduction of 13 degrees in transient myopia after just 25 minutes of reading, with some experiencing up to 75 degrees less myopia.

AI Deepfake Detection: Ensuring Digital Safety

Deepfake videos pose significant risks by spreading misinformation and facilitating fraud. HONOR’s AI Deepfake Detection meticulously examines videos, analyzing details like eye contact, lighting, and image clarity.

It can identify manipulated content within three seconds, issuing immediate risk warnings to protect users from digital scams.

With these available as local processes, without the need of third-party providers, HONOR is adding a new layer of security to their devices that are ideal to combat the digital threats of today.
