How to determine best value for money in buying car batteries

-

Oftentimes, people make reckless, misleading, and deceiving statements when they compare the longevity of car batteries according to brands alone. This is the pitfall when some “experts” advise their friends, peers, relatives, or even netizens via their social media accounts on which is the best battery brand to buy to ensure value for money.

But how do you really determine the best value for money in purchasing automotive batteries?

Make sure that you match the batteries according to their prices and warranty, as this will immediately give you a good sense of the longevity of the product you are buying.

Remember, manufacturers and sellers normally have products in different segments: entry-level, middle category, and high-end or premium.

Don’t immediately take as Gospel truth the advice of some people who are saying this brand lasts longer than another brand without specifically stating which battery types they are comparing. They could be comparing the premium battery of one brand with the entry-level battery of another brand. Don’t just believe in people who are saying an imported brand lasts longer than a local brand.

The comparison should be apples to apples, or the premium battery of one brand versus the premium battery of another brand.

Merely saying that this brand lasts for at least three years while this brand is only good for only 24 months is not really educating motorists. It’s either you are deliberately misleading people or you are just pretending to be an expert but really know very little about automotive batteries.

For example, Motolite’s premium lead-acid battery is Excel. This is the type of battery that should be used in comparing Motolite with the premium batteries of European, American, or other imported batteries.

Motolite, probably unknown to many Filipinos, is also exporting batteries globally. Motolite’s proudly Philippine-made batteries are among the market leaders in countries like the United States, Australia, and Malaysia.

Motolite recently launched the New Excel, which, according to reliable reports from respected motoring journalists and car aficionados, was made to last at least 70% longer than those produced by other brands in the market.

Excel uses German technology. Being locally produced, it is also tropicalized, which means it is perfect for the weather condition in the country. Its design and components are also meant to withstand the road condition in the Philippines.

Motolite, to make sure the Philippine motoring public’s experience in car batteries is on a par with the world’s best, is continuously introducing technological innovations to its products.

Comparing the lifespan of Motolite Enduro, the brand’s entry-level bet in the maintenance-free lead-acid battery segment, with those of premium foreign batteries would not just be a disservice to the motorists but also unfair to the Filipino company.

These are the facts that you should be considering to ensure you are getting the best value for money in buying car batteries.
