Huawei has just pulled back the curtain on the MatePad 12 X and confirmed its release in the Philippines.
At the heart of the device is a PC-level version of WPS Office, offering tools for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that feel right at home alongside traditional desktop apps. Pair it with the Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard or the M-Pencil (3rd Gen) — both powered by the brand’s NearLink technology — and you’ve got that portable workstation or sketchpad setup tablets have now come to be known for.
It’s also built with a generous 10,100 mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge.
On the design front, the MatePad 12 X shows off an all-metal body is polished with a muted green finish that catches the light with a subtle pearlescent shimmer. Huawei is clearly leaning into aesthetics here, and the sleek camera module — with its clean lines and gilded accents — adds a touch of sophistication.
As a creative tool, Huawei has also packed in some smart features like the GoPaint app and Huawei Notes, which make it easy to sketch, jot down ideas, or polish up a digital masterpiece. The tablet is part of Huawei’s broader push to support creativity worldwide, including initiatives like the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, a digital art competition encouraging artists to showcase their talents using Huawei’s ecosystem.
If you’re eyeing the MatePad 12 X, pre-orders in the Philippines start soon.
