Hyundai Motor Company and Sony Pictures are collaborating once again for the highly anticipated animated movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
The film showcases Hyundai’s Prophecy concept EV model and its future mobility vision, alongside a global marketing campaign highlighting the IONIQ all-electric vehicles.
The partnership between Hyundai and Sony Pictures began in 2020, aiming to exhibit Hyundai’s human-centered mobility vision through product and technological innovations. Previous collaborations include Spider-Man: No Way Home and Uncharted, featuring the IONIQ 5 dedicated EV, Tucson SUV, and Tucson Beast concept SUV.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to hit cinemas worldwide in June, introduces the ‘Flying Prophecy,’ a flying version of the real-world concept car that inspired the design of the award-winning IONIQ 6, the ‘Electrified Streamliner.’
The film also highlights Hyundai Motor’s future mobility concepts for revitalizing cities, such as advanced air mobility (AAM), purpose-built vehicles (PBV), and Hub, a space for mobility transfer and community activities.
Additionally, a fictional self-driving robotaxi based on the Hyundai Pony, Hyundai Motor’s first-ever proprietary model, is featured in the movie, set in “Nueva York” in the year 2099.
For an upcoming campaign, Hyundai Motor and Sony Pictures will produce an animated TV commercial featuring Spider-Man, IONIQ 6, and IONIQ 5, accompanied by a new song produced by Metro Boomin.
Spider-Verse-themed social media content, a behind-the-scenes film about Hyundai’s future mobility concepts, and an offline promotional exhibition are also part of the campaign.
