E Ink technology has been around for years, most famously powering e-readers like the Kindle, known for their paper-like display and low energy consumption. But now, its potential is expanding into new frontiers. At CES 2025, PocketBook, in collaboration with Sharp and E Ink, unveiled the InkPoster — a sleek, eco-friendly digital poster that brings vibrant color artwork to life with minimal power usage. Designed to replicate the look of traditional prints, InkPoster offers an innovative solution for static digital displays in homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
The InkPoster is a revolutionary digital poster that combines the best of E Ink technology with stunning color and low-power functionality. It features the E Ink Spectra 6 display, which offers vivid, true-to-life colors without backlighting, mimicking the feel of paper. The screen refreshes only when the image changes, using virtually no power while maintaining static content. With a battery life of up to one year on a single charge, the InkPoster is a remarkably energy-efficient solution for displaying art, photos, or other static imagery.
Available in three sizes, the InkPoster caters to different spaces and needs. The smallest model is a 13.3-inch display with a 1200 x 1600 resolution, ideal for more intimate spaces, priced at $599. For larger settings, the 28.5-inch model offers a 2160 x 3060 resolution and utilizes Sharp’s IGZO technology to allow faster image updates, priced at $1,700. The largest model, the 31.5-inch version, has a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a larger 20,000mAh battery, perfect for more immersive setups, with a price tag of $2,400.
The InkPoster is more than just a display. It connects to an accompanying app that provides access to a curated selection of artworks, from classic masterpieces to contemporary pieces. Users can also upload their own images, personal photos, or even NFTs to transform their space. With features like vertical or horizontal orientation, the InkPoster can adapt to a variety of design styles and layouts. It’s housed in a durable aluminum frame with a matte finish, providing a glare-free viewing experience. The device also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless image updates, and USB-C for efficient recharging.
