A new feature for Instagram Stories has been rolled out to select users that allow them to create customized stickers from any photo.
A feature also available on Samsung phones, Instagram will now let you cut out a photo to use a sticker for your stories. You can find this feature in the top row when you swipe up when creating your stories. It’s now the first to show up after I updated my app.
Creating a sticker on Instagram Stories is straightforward. You swipe up to access your stickers, tap on Create, and then select your photo. Instagram will then try to automatically cut out the sticker but if that fails, you can do it manually.
After that, just finish up, and it will automatically save and show up every time you swipe up. To delete, simply hold the sticker and tap delete.
The feature is still in testing, however, and not all users have access to it yet. We’ll update the article with the official rollout date when available.
