Another cute little EV is coming! JAC Philippines proudly launches the All-New Ytterby, marking its entry into the full-electric vehicle market.
Set to hit dealerships on September 27, 2024, the Ytterby is an urban-friendly hatchback with an innovative 9-in-1 electric drive system. This advanced design integrates multiple components, resulting in a 40% weight reduction and an impressive 94% efficiency improvement
But probably its most distinguishing characteristic is its Bubble Aesthetics Design which gives it a Beatle-like vibe with its rounded compact body and corners. Inside, a spacious cabin is illuminated by a panoramic skylight made from laminated Low-E glass, enhancing comfort and energy management. Tri-color petal wheels and sleek features like concealed electric door handles contribute to its stylish look.
The Ytterby is available in two variants: the Air 405 and the PRO 505. The Air 405 offers a range of 405 km, while the PRO 505 extends up to 505 km, both following the CLTC standard.
It’s equipped with motors producing 94 hp and 134 hp, and torque ratings of 135 Nm and 175 Nm, respectively. The battery capacities are 41 kWh for the Air 405 and 51.5 kWh for the PRO 505 and with a consumption rate of just 10 kWh per 100 km, the Ytterby also boasts an efficient drive.
Charging is convenient, with a DC fast charger capable of replenishing the battery from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. For home charging, the provided 7kW charger takes between 7.5 to 9 hours, depending on the variant.
Safety is paramount in the Ytterby, boasting a five-star crash safety rating, a zero thermal runaway honeycomb battery, and six airbags. It also includes a 3-in-1 intelligent braking system and a tight turning radius of 4.95 meters for agile handling. The PRO 505 variant enhances safety further with Level 2 Assisted Driving capabilities.
Tonette Lee, Brand Head of JAC Philippines, emphasizes the Ytterby’s exceptional value compared to compact EVs and traditional vehicles. “We’ve combined an intelligent cabin, powerful powertrain, and class-leading safety features to deliver a unique driving experience,” she states.
The All-New Ytterby is competitively priced at PhP 1,195,000 for the Air 405 and PhP 1,320,000 for the PRO 505, with exterior colors including Beige, Purple, Blue, White, and Gray.
