Handheld consoles are becoming more popular now than ever. While not a new form factor, it’s only in the last year or so that more powerful devices like Steamdeck and later on ROG Ally, were introduced. With the capability to run demanding PC games, these new devices rose quickly in gamers’ must-wants.
Throwing its hat into the not-so-crowded ring is Lenovo with the intro of its new handheld gaming device — Legion Go.
Powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, AMD RDNA 3 Graphics, and running Windows 11, the Legion Go ensures unparalleled PC gaming performance for even the most demanding games.
Boasting an expansive 8.8-inch QHD+ display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, the Legion Go offers the largest display on handheld gaming devices in the market. With features like 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 516GB of SSD storage, and a long-lasting 49.2Wh battery with Super Rapid Charge support, gamers can enjoy optimal performance, faster loading times, and extended play sessions.
Unlike its competitors, the Legion Go comes with detachable TrueStrike controllers complete with hall effect technology for enhancing precision and portability.
Innovative gaming modes, including ‘Battlestation’ and ‘FPS mouse mode,’ adapt the device to suit casual, competitive, or shooter games as well. The Legion Go is complemented by the Legion Space, a gaming hub that centralizes popular industry game platforms, immersive game pages, and quick launch features for easy management and personalization of gaming experiences.
Another of Lenovo’s latest announcements is the Legion Glasses — a plug-and-play wearable display solution compatible with the Legion Go and other Legion devices.
Featuring micro-OLED display technology, the Legion Glasses deliver an immersive AR gaming experience with high color, contrast range FHD resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate.
The Legion Go is available for pre-order at PhP 49,995.00, exclusively at Lenovo Experience Stores and Legion Stores. Pre-orders include a free Legion Go Tempered Glass, Legion H200 Wired Gaming Headset, and a Legion Go Carry Case, along with a 2-year onsite support upon purchase. Lenovo has yet to announce details on the release and price of the Legion Glasses.
