AMD’s soon-to-launch Ryzen 9 processor is expected to beat Intel’s Core i9 chip which is currently dominating the market. It’s set to debut with the new release of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14.
First announced at this year’s CES, AMD had declared that the fourth generation Ryzen processors, which includes the Ryzen 9, will be the company’s most powerful and portable ever. And with the current ROG Zephyrus G14’s glowing reviews, consumers’ interests have been piqued for the upcoming upgraded model. That being said, neither ASUS nor AMD have ever hinted at its price.
Although recently, a landing page for US electronics retailer Best Buy has just revealed the pricing for this setup.
The listing sets the Zephyrus’ price at USD$ 1,499.99 which is pretty reasonable given its specifications. This 14-inch laptop is equipped with a full 1080p display and is less than an inch in width and reduced bezels. It comes with 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, GeForce RTX 2060 6GB, and, of course, the Ryzen 9 processor.
On paper, it looks like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 will easily make any list for the best affordable gaming laptops. Although priced a little higher than most laptops with the RTX 2060, having the powerful Ryzen 9 processor might give it that extra edge.
