Sennheiser is back after it released its first pair of true wireless earbuds back in 2018. Called the MOMENTUM True Wireless 2, it features active noise cancellation, extended battery life, and a more compact design.
The wireless earbuds feature what Sennheiser calls Transparent Hearing function that basically allows users to blend ambient outdoor sound with your music so you still know what’s happening around you. This is especially helpful when you’re walking down the street while listening to music.
Another feature is the Smart Pause that automatically pauses audio playback when you remove the earbuds from your ears so it saves more battery in the long run. There are also customizable touch controls, voice assistant activation, and a native equalizer that can be tweaked via its own Smart Control app.
Sennheiser also explains that the earbuds are now 2mm smaller than the previous iteration so it should be easier to pop out of its case and into your ears.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.1, AAC, and AptX standards while having a water resistance rating of IPX4 so you can even use it during your workout sessions.
As mentioned earlier, battery life has been improved and the company claims it can now last up to seven hours of usage (from four hours previously) which can then be extended up to 28 hours by docking the buds in its charging case.
Starting April, the MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 is initially available in the US and Europe in black for US$ 299.95 although a white variant will eventually be up for grabs.
