OPI releases Xbox-inspired nail polish

-

We’ve had our fair share of unlikely collaborations but here’s another one for the list.

Popular nail polish brand OPI has collaborated with Xbox to release a new line of gaming-inspired nail polishes that are not only oh-so-eye catching but also unlock exclusive content for Xbox exclusive games Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.

For Forza, the unlockable content will be a colorful Fort GT while in Halo it’s a sparkly armor coating.

The full line includes 12 colors that, according to Microsoft, “bring to life the virtual world of Xbox Game Pass titles. ”

Here’s a full list and their respective descriptions as found on the company’s blog:

  • Quest for Quartz: A shimmery rose quartz that will put you in the winner circle.
  • Pixel Dust: A shimmery mauve pink that will pixelate your world.
  • Racing for Pinks: A crème rose that will rev your engine.
  • Suzi is My Avatar: A creamy pink-nude that will give you virtual power.
  • Trading Paint: A crème apricot you’ll race to the finish for.
  • Heart and Con-soul: A shimmery crimson red that takes nails to the next level.
  • The Pass is Always Greener: Meet your matcha with this creamy pastel green.
  • Sage Simulation: Get lost in a shimmery sage green simulation.
  • You Had Me at Halo: A shimmery galactic blue that will give you sparkly stats.
  • Can’t CTRL Me: A shimmery robin’s egg blue that cannot be CTRL’d.
  • Achievement Unlocked: Unlock a world of color that’s lilac optimized.
  • N00berry: Berry boost your nails with this deep crème purple.

The OPI x Xbox collection will first be available in the US at ULTA stores this Spring. The global release is slated for February 1. Each nail lacquer will be available starting at US$ 10.50 (approx. PhP 536).

In addition to that, Xbox is also giving away custom Xbox controllers in three of the OPI hues so users can hue-match their nails with their controllers.

The colors available will be Achievement Unlocked, Racing for Pinks, and Can’t CTRL Me. Details will be available on OPI and Xbox’s Instagram and TikTok accounts.
