Starting last October 29, Xiaomi has announced a new, more affordable tablet, the Redmi Pad.
Positioned as a lower-cost alternative to the higher-end Xiaomi Pad 5, the Redmi Pad will still offer many of the same features and specs that are designed to make it an all-around multimedia tablet. Highlighted features include a fast 90Hz refresh rate on its 10.61-inch display. For eye safety, the Redmi Pad boasts TUF Rheinland certification for reducing glare and eye strain.
The Redmi Pad also supports audio enhancement through Dolby Atmos delivered by a quad-speaker system onboard. Video calls and selfies are taken care of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide front camera while on the rear is a similar 8-megapixel shooter as well.
At just 7.05mm thin and less than 500g, the Redmi Pad is also a great pick for portability. Internally, it’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and offers a large 8000mAh battery. The tablet supports 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5W charger bundled in the box.
The Redmi Pad is available in two variants, 6GB+128GB and 4GB+128GB, and are offered at PhP 14,999 and 13,999 respectively. From October 29 to November, Xiaomi will be slashing off PhP 3,000 off the tag price of the lower variant bringing it down to just PhP 10,999. Three colors are also available: Graphite Gray, Mint Green, and Moonlight Silver. Interested customers can check the listing here.
