Samsung is back once again with another special edition smartphone. And this time, it’s in partnership with one of the largest K-pop groups around — BTS.
After teasing it to the public, the company finally launches the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition and the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition. While internal features remain unchanged, the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition does feature a new metallic purple exterior — a color heavily associated with the group. Along with the cameras, we also see a tiny heart. It’s encased in a simple black box bearing the Samsung and BTS logos with small purple hearts plastered around them. Inside the box are special BTS stickers as well as photo cards of the band members.
This special edition Galaxy S20+ will come in both 5G and LTE variants and will have pre-installed BTS-inspired themes. It will also come pre-installed with Weverse, a social media platform used by various K-pop stars to communicate with their fans.
The Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition are also designed with the same black and purple motif. The right earbud features a tiny heart on top while the left earbud features the BTS logo. The charging case is covered in metallic purple with the Samsung and BTS logos on top.
The buds are now available for pre-order on the Weverse shop and go for US$ 199.99. This will come in a similar black and purple box with photo cards of the band found inside. Additionally, Weverse is offering a special pre-order gift which includes a Wireless Charging Pad BTS Edition and a BTS Edition Lenticular set.
Both variants of the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition will be available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website starting June 19 and will be widely available on July 9 — the anniversary of the BTS ARMY fan collective.
