Segway intros new self-balancing scooter for kids

-

Segway-Ninebot has just announced an all-new version of its self-balancing scooter that’s made just for kids.

A minified and more colorful version of the original model, the S Kids scooter is also equipped with a host of safety features to keep parents’ minds at ease. The S Kids scooter is designed with a knee pad that’s soft and durable and fixed at a height that will be comfortable for children. The area pedal is also bigger so kids can get a stable and balanced stance when standing on the scooter.

It’s designed to withstand up to 132lbs and has non-slip and versatile tires that can go through wetlands, sandstone, gentle slopes, small obstacles, and more. The tires are also ant-skid and anti-puncture. There’s also a Bluetooth speaker onboard so kids can play music while on a ride and ambient and tail lights for safety.

As for safety features, kids will be guided by real-time intelligent voice reminders that will warn them when they’re speeding, reversing, or when the battery is slow. The voice reminders also give out reminders for posture so riders can maintain the correct form.

There are three riding modes available — safe, novice, and sport. These three modes dictate the speed limit of the scooter with safe maxing out at 7 km/h, novice at 10km/h, and sports at 14 km/h.

Additionally, the S Kids self-balancing scooter has automatic speed reduction and will also automatically stop when no weight is detected.

Parents can also take over and control the scooter with the Segway-Ninebot App. The app also has control over the vehicle’s light settings and firmware upgrades.

The Segway-Ninebot S Kids self-balancing electric scooter comes in black, blue, or pink and is now available on Amazon and on Segway’s official store.
