Earlier this year, Sony introduced two new color options for its DualSense wireless controller. Now the companies adds three more galaxy-inspired options — Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple.
Alongside this announcement, the company also reveals new PS5 console covers that come in 5 colors that match the DualSense offerings. A first for the company, console covers or plates have been popular among the community and countless designs have been available for various generations of the console.
The soon-to-be-released covers will, according to Sony, be easy to install. Simply remove the current plate and click the new one into place. Console covers will be available for both the disc and digital versions of the PlayStation 5.
The controllers will launch ahead of the console covers on January 14 of next year. It’s expected to retail for PhP 4,290. The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red console covers will be available starting January 21 for PhP 3,090. The Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue colors can be expected sometime in the first half of 2022. Additional covers are also expected to launch but no details were released just yet.
The exact launch dates for both the new DualSense wireless controller colors and the new PS5 console covers in select regions may vary by location, so be sure to check your local retailer for availability.
