TGR Vios Cup kicks off a new season this weekend

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup is returning for an exciting season on July 1, 2023 with the first round of the 2023 season will take place at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga, Philippines.

The event is free for the public to attend, and gates open at 9 am. The races will also be streamed live on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook page.

This year, the TGR Vios Cup will feature the classic Circuit Championship with a twist. In the third leg of the season, endurance racing will be introduced for the first time, putting the Toyota Vios racers’ durability to the test. The races promise to bring even more excitement with top racers and teams from all over the country competing.

The roster of racers includes both up-and-coming talents and Vios Cup veterans. Actor Enzo Pineda, a former Toyota Vios Cup Autocross participant, has joined Team TOYOTA GAZOO Racing PH in the Circuit Promotional Class. Troy Montero, a veteran of the Vios Cup, returns as one of the Super Sporting Class racers. Another celebrity will also join the circuit race.

In addition to the races, the event will feature the popular Autocross Challenge, with participation from social media personalities, cyclists, and sportscasters. Past Vios Cup Autocross racers and beauty queens will also be competing. Spectators can enjoy the full TOYOTA GAZOO Racing experience, including viewing various Toyota GR cars, trying out TGR GT Cup racing rigs, and participating in activities with chances to win prizes from sponsors.

The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Vios Cup is organized in cooperation with Bridgestone and Petron, with support from sponsors such as Denso, 3M, AVT, ROTA, OMP, Tuason Racing, myTOYOTA Wallet, and Kinto One.
