Smart rings are having a moment. What was once just another piece of experimental tech has now evolved into something accessible, stylish, and practical. Ultrahuman, a name that stands out in this space, is showcasing what feels like the natural next step for these devices at this year’s CES: the Ultrahuman Rare, a luxury smart ring that bridges cutting-edge technology with elegant design.
The Ultrahuman Rare blends the advanced tech of a smart ring with the luxurious allure of fine jewelry. Now part of its Desert Collection, the Ultrahuman Rare is available in three colors — Desert Rose, Dune, and Desert Snow — each inspired by the beauty of nature.
Desert Rose is made of 18K rose gold and mimics the intricate patterns of the Desert Rose crystal formation. The brushed outer shell reflects light, creating a dynamic, ever-changing appearance. Dune is also made from 18K gold and features smooth, flowing grooves that resemble the gentle curves of wind-sculpted dunes.
Finally, Desert Snow is made of pt950 platinum, one of the highest standards in the jewelry industry, and is 95% pure platinum. This ring has a frosted finish that captures the delicate sparkle of snowflakes.
But let’s not forget the tech side of things. The Ultrahuman Rare is packed with advanced health sensors, including photoplethysmography and 6-axis motion sensors. These features let you track your sleep, movement, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), stress levels, and even skin temperature.
The Ultrahuman Rare will have a limited first release and will be making its debut in two iconic luxury hubs: Selfridges in London and Printemps in Paris. Both locations are known for their curated collections of high-end products, making them a fitting stage for Rare’s grand entrance.
As for the price, it hasn’t been officially announced yet, but given the premium materials and cutting-edge tech, it’s safe to say this won’t come cheap.
