Affordable realme Watch to launch in the Philippines next week

With the recent introduction of new AIoT devices, realme is showing that they are more than just affordable quality phones. One of their recent launches introduced the company’s first wearable, the realme band. This is quickly followed up with their second wearable and first foray into smartwatches, the realme Watch.

The realme Watch’s design is very familiar. It sports a rounded square design housing a 1.4-inch touch screen display with a physical button seated on the right side of the device. The watch is shipped with a black silicone strap which can be interchanged with other colored straps realme will offer later on.

It also boasts of a number of fitness-focused features on-board such as a pedometer, continuous heart rate monitor, Spo2 measurement, meditation mode, intelligent sports tracker, and 14 different sport modes. Apart from these fitness features, the realme Watch is also able to monitor sleep quality and holds an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust.

For the smartwatch side of its features, it’s capable of smart notifications for text messages, calls, and some apps like Facebook. It also has additional built-in apps such as a timer, alarm, and real-time weather. Watch faces are interchangeable with a handful of choices available right out of the box. It’s also capable of controlling music and can act as a remote shutter for your phone’s camera.

With its 160mAh battery, realme says the watch can last up to seven days with continuous heart tracking on and up to nine days without. It charges via a magnetic charger that effortlessly fits right onto the back of the watch.

With how realme has been pricing their devices, we can expect the realme Watch to still sport an affordable price tag. More details will be revealed during the livestream launch of the brand’s flagship phone, the realme X3 SuperZoom, on July 9, 2020.
