What we have right here is the Epson EB-E01 3LCD projector. It’s mainly designed for clasroom and office use, but apart from those, we’ve tried to use it as sort of a home entertainment system and there have been some realizations.

In terms of design, there’s nothing in particular that will stand out. The projector has this plastic shell in white and it’s not that heavy for its size. It has its adjustable stand at the bottom that will let you angle the projector to work best for your setup.
As expected of a projector, it’s got noticeable grille that help dissipate heat away from the device.
It’s complete with buttons for different settings and modes, but it also comes with a controller for easier setup and menu navigation.
As mentioned earlier, the EB-E01’s design is as straightforward as a projector can be — you have your usual dial to adjust focus, a vent with a filter that you need to clean over time, and buttons for navigation and tweaking settings.
Its white color makes it easily useable for office or classroom setup as it can also be mounted at the ceiling with the necessary tools.
Features
The Epson EB-E01 projector boasts a range of features designed to enhance user experience and versatility. To kick things off, it has an AV Mute Slide function that provides seamless control over audio and video playback, ensuring smooth transitions during presentations, for example.

Overall performance
The Epson EB-E01 projector presents itself with a sleek design, although with a few notable limitations. On the upside, it has a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and this HD picture quality is actually not bad and can pass even for watching movies.
Its contrast ratio of 15000:1 also proves to be useful in both presentations and playing videos, while its 3300 lumens output allows texts to still be readable with certain amount of light present.
While the projector excels in brightness and picture quality, it falls short in certain features. The absence of Auto keystone at this price point is a notable drawback, and the lack of a physical lens cap may raise concerns, though understandable given its intended ceiling-mount setup for business use.
Additionally, the absence of USB and optical ports is apparent. The built-in speakers provide decent sound without the distraction of loud fan noise during regular use but we wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for an immersive cinematic experience as it just won’t do the job.
Additionally, the limited ports—consisting of a single HDMI, single VGA, and USB type B port—leave room for improvement, especially without an audio out for users intending to utilize smart HDMI sticks or to just improve overall sound.

The Epson EB-E01 is priced in the Philippines at PhP 20,995. Despite some feature omissions, its portability and quick setup, along with features like AV Mute Slide, Auto source search, and built-in speaker, make it a versatile choice.
