ColourPop x Pokemon collection is a nostalgic makeup dream

A Pallet Town makeup palette? That’s just one of the products coming out of the new ColourPop x Pokémon collab!

The ColourPop x Pokémon collection pays homage to the classic Pokémon games and anime, capturing the essence of our beloved journey through tall grass, Gym battles, and legendary encounters. The collection includes all your essentials from magic lip gloss to cream blushes and, of course, all sport cute Pokemon-related names.

Pallet Town Eyeshadow Palette (US$ 24)

Paying tribute to where everything started, the Pallet Town eyeshadow palette will remind you of your first encounters with Professor Oak, your starters, and all the tall grass encounters you never asked for.

The palette consists of 24 bright and vibrant matte and shimmer shades of both cool and warm tones. Some of the shades feature other locations within the game which are pretty perfect since the in-game towns are named after colors. Some of the shades you’ll see include Cerulean City, Lavender Town, S.S. Anne, Cinnabar Island, Pewter City, Indigo League, and more!

Transforming pH Lip Balm (US$ 12)

A first for ColourPop, the Poekmon collab introduces a new pH formula that creates a custom shade for your lips. Though most end up a pinkish shade. There are three choices, Thunderbolt, Transform, and Sing, which are references to Pikachu, Ditto, and Jigglypuff as seen on its packaging

Super Shock Eyeshadow (US$ 12)

One of ColourPop’s popular products, we’re getting three new shades from this collab. Retaining the same rich formula, the new shades are inspired by starter Pokemon from the Kanto region, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. We have Solar Beam, a soft glitter green, Hydro Pump, a sparkly blue, and Flamethrower which is a warm shimmer orange

Berry Lip Mask (US$ 12)

Pokemon love their berries and this berry-scented lip mask might just help you catch ’em all. Encased in cute little Pokeball, the lip boasts moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, vitamin E, and squalene.

Instant Cream Blush (US$ 14)

Like the Pallet Town pallet, each cream blush in the collection features shades inspired by specific Pokemon. We have Pikachu’s Electro Ball, which is a bright red inspired by Pikachu’s red cheeks, Cefable’s Metronome, a soft pink, and Gengar-inspired Hypnosis which is a soft, warm, purple/pink hue.

Ultra Glossy Trio (US$ 27)

For its lip gloss, ColourPop puts Eeeveelutions in the spotlight!

The high-shine, hyaluronic acid-infused lip glosses come in three shades: Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon which are yellow, orange, and blue respectively. Colors are more subdues which means you can layer this over other lip products for a more vibrant look.

From cars to cooking, to shopping, tech is in everything! So it’s no surprise that, in this day and age, we’ve got a handful of impressive high-tech beauty gadgets, too.

Apart from developing solutions and serums, the beauty industry has also been hard at work developing tools to ease the usual tasks of styling, cleansing, and more. And each year brings devices more sophisticated than the last.  Here are some of our favorites.

The ever-popular Dyson Airwrap tops the list for many reasons and honestly needs no introduction. For one, it’s a want for most of the ladies out there as his high-end styling tool uses controlled airflow to style hair without extreme heat, minimizing damage. Foreo UFO 2

Foreo has long been breaking ground on advanced skincare tools and one of its latest releases is the UFO 3. This smart facial treatment device combines heat, LED light therapy, and cryotherapy to address various skin concerns. And being the modern device that it is, it connects to a mobile app for personalized treatment routines and progress tracking.

Of course, if you want something simpler, cheaper, but still effective, you can always go for the basic Foreo Luna. I’ve personally been using it and apart from the calming effect of the facial massage, my skin always comes out so bouncy and clean.
