Float Run is Sony’s off-ear headphones for runners and cyclists

There are a couple of things that make Sony’s Float Run a good fit for athletes — specifically runners and cyclists.

With its off-ear design, the Float Run assures extended comfort as its sits on the ears of the user, instead of being pushed in like the usual buds. It’s also lightweight enough for long runs and the company assures a stable and secure fit, too, even during intense periods of activity thanks to the flexible neckband design which acts as a stabilizer. The headphones can also be worn along with other accessories like hats or shades without any compromise to the fit.

It also offers IPX4 water resistance and a battery life of up to 10 hours.

Sound is delivered by 16mm drivers combined with precise tuning to provide natural and wider sound. The open-type design also works to eliminate internal sounds like footsteps, chewing, or heavy breathing. Since the Float Run doesn’t cover the user’s ears, it’s also able to let in ambient sound.

Controls are also available on-board allowing users to manage playback. Combined with the built-in microphones, users can also wake and utilize smart assistants on their phones, take calls, and other voice tasks.

The Sony Float Run headphones will be available starting April 7 for PhP 7,999 at select Sony Authorized Dealers around the country.
