KFConsole can run 4K games and keep your chicken hot

Move over, Sony and Microsoft! Colonel Sanders is joining the console wars.

Yes, the fried chicken masters have just announced their own gaming console, the KFConsole. It’s unsurprisingly shaped like a bucket with gaming-inspired colors and lights.

And while the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X pride themselves in numerous teraflops for processing and fast SSDs, the KFConsole solves one very important problem — how to keep your chicken warm while gaming.

Created in collaboration with gaming brand Cooler Master, the KFConsole is the first console in the world to have a built-in Chicken Chamber that uses the system’s heat and airflow to keep your fried chicken warm and toasty.

It uses Cooler Master NC100 chassis carrying an Intel Nuc 9 and is partnered with ASUS-powered graphics. It also has a hot-swappable GPU slot that, according to the website, will make the KFConsole stay updated for generations to come.

Internal storage comes in the form of two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSDs. The console is also VR ready and supports ray tracing, 240fps with up to 240Hz refresh rates, and 4K resolution.

But some questions still remain – When is the release date? What about controllers? How many pieces of chicken can the Chicken Chamber hold?

Unfortunately, apart from a legit-looking website, KFC hasn’t released any more information on their console but it would undoubtedly be a very quirky device to have. Interestingly, it isn’t the first time KFC made itself relevant in the gaming world. A couple of months ago, they put up their own island in Animal Crossing.
