LG brings the party to you with its XBoom Go series speakers

LG Philippines picks up where they left off with another online event. The South Korean technology brand’s widely anticipated virtual events have amassed a loyal following over the past few months. For the newest iteration, LG focuses on the yearning consumers have for parties, concerts, and events. There’s nothing quite like dancing with the beat or singing along with your favorite artists.

Since large gatherings as still not advisable, the parties have since gone online. Families and friends are able to catch up with one another, dance socially-distantly, or king karaoke remotely. Live concerts streamed online have blossomed into a massive audience. BTS Army, anyone? The common theme here is that sound plays an important role in giving the experienced realism.

After all, your favorite artist wouldn’t have cracking voices on stage, wouldn’t they? That’s why LG encourages people to #StaySmartStayHome and elevate their home audio experience. With the portable LG XBoom Go line speakers, being socially responsible and getting creative with celebrations at home and online is definitely possible.

LG XBoom Go speakers fit well in anyone’s lifestyle. Whether you’re active, a gamer, a movie buff, or anything else under the sun, the XBoom Go is the perfect portable Bluetooth speakers for anyone. What sets the XBoom Go PL series from other Bluetooth speakers is LG’s collaboration with Meridian, one of the pioneers of high-definition audio.

Meridian technology lets you experience the sound of excellence. Hear deep bass and rich tones every time you play music. The XBoom Go speakers are available in 3 sizes. The whole line has a sleek, rounded design with a rubberized finish. It is easy to hold and fits comfortably in your hand, while ring-shaped woofer lights add a colorful mood to your space.

Each model has Sound Boost, which amplifies sound power and widens the sound field. Just press the button to lift the party atmosphere. They are weather and splash-proof, giving you the flexibility of bringing it to pool parties or even the bathtub while you sing. You can keep the party going without fussing about battery life or power cords. The PL7 can play up to 24 hours straight, the PL5 can go up to 18 hours, while the PL2 is good for 10 hours of music.

You can also connect multiple XBoom Go speakers via Bluetooth with its party link feature to create a more immersive audio experience. It wirelessly links up to one hundred LG XBoom Go speakers to multiply the sound output. Bigger sound only means one thing — better parties and more fun.

The PL series is not just for parties. You can enjoy music and more with voice command. Press the play button for two seconds, then speak to activate Google Assistant on your Android phone or Siri on iOS. You can play music, podcasts, and more with a simple voice command.

To coincide with the event, LG is offering sweet discounts on the XBoom Go line. The PL7 will be discounted 10% from PhP 7,990 to PhP 7,191, the PL5 will be slashed 10% from PhP 5,990 to PhP 5,391, and the PL2 will get a 17% discount bringing down the price from PhP 2,990 to PhP 2,490. Enjoy these promos from February 26 to March 15.

Coronavirus: 5 quick tips for a mentally stronger you

From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, not only did everyone face the fear of the virus, but it triggered worries and anxiety amongst us. In such unprecedented times, we face the threat of job loss, financial insecurity, liquidation of businesses, and even the loss of loved ones for some.

And since we all still have to carry on despite these trials, here are five tips to help you become mentally strong during this time of crisis.

Meditate

Calmness is an inside job. Most of our thoughts are filled with what we see, absorb, and choose to remember from our lives. Imagine the amount of load we have inside our minds accumulated through the many years of unpleasant memories and experiences.

This could potentially come down on us all of a sudden so this is where meditation comes in. We need to be able to purge these thoughts and quiet the mind for at least 20 minutes to an hour a day.

Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and collect all the unnecessary thoughts that bother you and toss them into an imaginary receptacle for disposal. It might sound non-realistic for some but it really helps to disassociate yourself from these things.

Breathe

Learning from the Navy SEALs who have one of the most difficult trainings in their profession, the 4 x 4 x 4 technique is advisable to do daily upon waking up or during instances when you feel stressed out.

Inhale for four seconds through the nose, hold it in for four seconds, exhale for four seconds, then hold your lungs empty for another four seconds before repeating from the start.

You can do this for five minutes or until you feel relaxed or refocused once again.

Turn adversity to opportunity

Consider looking at the situation from a different perspective. Reframe and see it differently from the aspect of either context or content.

This means you could take an active look at how you are interpreting external situations and see these “bad” events as a challenge for you. You could react to it by finding a way to improve it or improve yourself to react better towards it.

The point is to not let something negative consume you completely.

Practice gratefulness

Try to list down at least three things you are grateful for each day as acknowledging such things creates a virtuous circle of positivity.

It doesn’t have to be something grand. Small victories still keep one’s morale high — even if it’s just the fact that you have breakfast on the table is already something to be thankful about.

Set goals

Do not let your ambitions be crushed by external forces such as other people, your leaders, or even a worldwide pandemic. Continue to create your goals — whether long- or short-term. Plus, know what to accomplish each day and be determined not to quit more so when things get a bit challenging.

Final thoughts

We are indeed going through challenging times. Not just because of the pandemic, but also due to all the negative things happening in the world right now.

It’s easy to feel defeated and the urge to give up is just around the corner. But making it through this challenge can make us better and stronger than ever before. This is why we need to be reminded of how we can be mentally tougher through these simple things.

We are all in this together and we can get through this together as well.
