Driven to take Filipino motorists and car enthusiasts to the future, MG in the Philippines introduced the all-new MG ONE at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati. The MG ONE is the brand’s newest compact crossover SUV and its first-ever vehicle equipped with smart tech.

MG’s new SIGMA platform

The MG ONE is the first model to be developed under the SAIC Intelligent global modular architecture platform, or SIGMA, which is a new generation of vehicle architecture that pushes the limits of automotive design and development. The SIGMA platform’s flexibility is capable of combining more than 100 kinds of high-value modules, which can create a variety of models in future MG vehicles that could meet the evolving needs of different customers.

Sporty and fashionable exterior

The all-new MG ONE boasts several sleek design elements that evoke its strong and athletic nature: sporty SUV proportions, wide 19-inch wheels, broad shoulders, dynamic three-dimensional LED headlights and taillights, and a prominent front face with a mesmerizing Sonic Boom Grille that leaves an unforgettable visual impact.

State-of-the-art interior and smart tech

The MG ONE is a futuristic and delightful ride for everyone, as evidenced by its classy interior and cutting-edge convenience features. As you ride inside the MG ONE, you will be welcomed with a classy interior comprised of leather-style seats with six-way adjustable electric driver’s seat, a thrust-style intuitive electronic gear shifter, and a panoramic sunroof, all of which when combined gives you that plush and premium feel when you are onboard.
The 30-inch wraparound triple screen which consists of a 5.4” Touch Switch Screen, 12.3” Driver Information Center, and 12.3” Touch Screen Infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto capabilities, surrounds the driver and ensures essential information is instantly accessible.

The MG ONE also comes equipped with a smart key passive entry system with remote engine start, push button start/stop ignition, and a wireless phone charger, all of which provide cutting-edge convenience, and gives a futuristic and delightful ride.

The MG ONE is engineered to guarantee a satisfying drive. Under the hood, the MG ONE is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine that pushes 170 PS and a max torque of 285Nm, all of which provide an exhilarating experience on the road.

Advanced safety features

The MG ONE also keeps safety in mind as it’s equipped with a whole array of advanced driver assistance features. The chief safety feature is the MG Pilot, a driver assistance system that’s able to intelligently control the car’s various features to avoid accidents and collisions. Its functions include Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent High-beam Control, Traffic Jam Assistance, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Door Opening Warning.

On top of that, the car is equipped with a 360-degree camera that provides more control and protection. It also has current standard inclusions such as automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and up to 6 airbags around the vehicle. Its rigid body structure keeps it sturdy and provides top-notch protection.

The MG ONE is also the latest addition to MG’s long legacy in the automotive industry. The British-born car manufacturer turns 100 this year, going strong for a century and ready to drive headfirst into the future.
