Entry-level OPPO A12 revealed with 4230mAh battery

OPPO released its latest entry-level smartphone, the OPPO A12.
Spotted on the company’s official website, the OPPO A12 boasts a large 6.22-inch waterdrop notch display that carries blue light filtering technology for reduced eye strain. The back has, what the company is calling, a 3D Diamond Blaze design that adds accents and comes in either blue or black.

Internally, the A12 runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and is supported by up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. It also supports storage expansion of up to 256GB via microSD. Battery capacity is a solid 4230mAh which the company says can last through 17 hours of watching videos or up to 8 hours of continuous gaming.

The A12 houses an AI dual rear camera system made up of a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The two cameras are situated next to each other horizontally and are accompanied by an LED flash. Around the front, housed in the waterdrop notch, is a 5MP front-facing camera. The A12’s cameras are capable of AI Beautification, Portrait Bokeh, and Dazzle Color mode.

It will ship with OPPO’s ColorOS 6.1 which is based on Android 9 Pie. Other notable features for the OPPO A12 include a rear fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OPPO A12 will come in either black or blue with 32GB and 64GB variants. Current retail price has also been spotted at IDR 2,499,000 (about Php 8,158).
