realme 6i priced in PH, is a sub-PhP 10K phone with fast charging USB-C

realme’s newest budget gaming smartphone, the realme 6i, has officially been launched in the Philippines.

The company has revealed two variants for the 6i with the more affordable variant priced at PhP 7,990 with 3GB RAM plus 64GB of internal storage. The other variant, which has 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at PhP 9,990.

The 6i is the company’s latest addition to its portfolio of affordable gaming smartphones. The successor to the realme 5, it’s the first phone in the market to be powered by the gaming-focused MediaTek Helio G80 processor. Compared to the realme 5, the 6i boasts a 35% increase in performance.

Another notable feature of the realme 6i is the presence of a USB Type-C port. This may not seem much but a Type-C port fitted on a budget phone is rather uncommon. With this, the 6i’s charging time has significantly been reduced compared to most of its peers.

It houses a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1600 x 720. The phone’s display retains the waterdrop notch design found on other realme phones. It comes in two colors: White Milk and Green Tea.

For imaging, it has a quad-camera system. It’s composed of a 48-megapixel main sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait photography. For selfies, the 6i houses a 16-megapixel front camera found in the waterdrop notch on top.

Lastly, the realme 6i houses a large 5000mAh battery. Bundled in the box is an 18-watt USB-C cable that supports fast charging. It also supports reverse charging for other devices.

To celebrate its launch, realme is having an introductory flash sale on May 15 and May 20 for both variants as well as the realme fitness Band. The 3GB/64GB variant will have a special discounted price of PhP 7,940 while the 4GB/128GB variant will be at PhP 9,490. Both phones will be available through realme’s official shop on Lazada.
