Road safety expert urges motorists to download Motolite Res-Q app

Road safety advocate James Deakin advised motorists to make sure they already have in their mobile phones Motolite’s RES-Q App before they head out on the road, especially on their upcoming long rides, so they can have easy access to roadside emergency assistance.

RES-Q is the only app in the country that gives 24/7 assistance to motorists for flat tires, emergency refueling, overheating, and dead battery. These services are free to users of Motolite, the leading and most reliable battery brand in the country as its products are particularly made for the Philippine climate and road conditions.

“As restrictions relax and we start to move forward with our lives, it’s important to be ready for the new challenges that face us. For those who use their cars for work and for leisure, it’s critical to prepare for the unexpected,” Deakin said.

He added: “Motolite RES-Q is a mobile app that can help you when the unexpected happens. When you get a flat tire, run out of fuel, find your engine overheating, or have problems with your battery, help is just a few taps away on MOTOLITE RES-Q.”

Deakin also urged Motolite users to immediately register their vehicle and contact details in the Motolite RES-Q app for easy warranty claims.

“To guarantee the nationwide warranty at any official Motolite outlet, it’s also best practice to complete your battery’s E-Warranty registration. This way, your battery warranty details are in the system and accessible to everyone, especially via the Motolite Express Hatid official hotline and official Motolite RES-Q dispatchers,” the motoring journalist and enthusiast noted.

The Res-Q APP is part of Motolite’s continuing service evolution in the digital age to give its customers peace of mind. Motorists can easily download the Res-Q App via the iOS App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery. Visit www.motolite.com for more info on the app and other Motolite services and products.

Using German technology, Motolite produces a complete line of batteries for different applications, including the New Excel, which is recognized by experts as the Philippines’ best automotive battery. Excel comes in several lines like Excel EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) for start-stop vehicles; the Excel DIN mostly used for European cars and certain American and Japanese vehicles; the Sea Master; Solar Master; TruckMaster; GolfMaster; and a host of low-maintenance batteries as well as motorcycle batteries.

All the cool things you can find at UNBOX Greenhills

Greenhills Mall in San Juan, Metro Manila isn’t just one of the most popular shopping centers in the Philippines. It’s also a treasure trove of exquisite toys and collectibles if you know where to look.

But something new has popped up on the second floor of the Promenade wing that may make hunting down those toys or collectibles a little easier.

What is it?

UNBOX Greenhills is a 500sqm space that looks just a tad bit different than your regular store. It doesn’t have its own inventory per se and, instead, rents out cabinets to sellers for PhP 3,500 a month.

The sellers or merchants will then be able to fill up their rented cabinets with whatever their goods are. UNBOX will then take over and assist in operations and marketing.

In addition to that, there’s also a live selling studio that renters can use for online selling.

The setup is unique and results in customers being treated to a rather fascinating variety of goods — some of which are highly elusive and exclusive.

So many toys!

Of course, it goes without saying, you’re going to see A LOT of toys here. Quite a number of the boxes hold a lot of toys and figures that you won’t normally find at your local toy store.

Funko Pop fan? There are tons of exclusives here. Pop culture or movie buff? There are also rare, early-edition toys that we haven’t seen in a very long time!

Whether you’re a comic book geek or certified otaku, you’re sure to find something here.

We saw a bunch of Marvel figurines (some loose, some boxed), Japan-exclusive toys, custom figures, and so much more!

Shoes to make you drool

Sneakerhead? Then you’re going to enjoy the interesting and unique collections at UNBOX Greenhills.

I’m not a big sneakerhead myself (so pardon me if I can’t name them) but was still really impressed with the store’s offerings.

From what we saw during our quick trip, you can find shoes ranging from PhP 2,000, PhP 5,000, PhP 15,000, and more.

And unlike your regular shoe store, a lot of the shoes come in just 1 or 2 sizes, depending on what the merchant has.

Shiny watches and rare collectibles

While not as present as the others mentioned above, you will find some cabinets offering unique and premium watches.

From G-shock to Seiko, we were able to see a pretty good range of choices that may urge watch collectors to bring out their wallets when they visit the store.

There are also quite a large number of different collectibles! The basketball cards were very present in a lot of cabinets but you’ll also find some Pokèmon cards, signed memorabilia, and vintage items to name a few.

Celebrity Corner

Right when you enter the store, you’ll see five stars marked on the first few glass cabinets and up top a large sign that says VIB or Very Important Boxes. These are celebrity-owned items or merch that are up for grabs.

Currently on display are items from Carlo Ople, Madd Creatives by Jed Madela, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Chinkee Tan, Wetworks, and Bea Benedicto.

Like the other cabinets, items in VIB may also change as well as the featured celebrities.

Project 7 to 1 by Carlo Ople and Pop n’ Shop

Further down the store are special areas for Project 7 to 1 merch and Funko Pop toys and shirts from Pop n’ Shop.

Project 7 to 1 features a Steal Cabinet where you can cop the hottest goods for less. Apart from a curated selection of shoes, you can also find original merch and collabs.

You can also find merch from popular tech creators in the Philippines like Mary Bautista, Alvin tries Tech, and Isa does tech.

What else is there?

One of the magical things about Unbox Greenhills is that you’ll probably have a different experience each time. While some cabinets may have predictable items, you’ll really never know what you’ll find on your next visit.

If you’re not into toys, shoes, or expensive collectibles, there are also cabinets that offer gadgets, crafting materials, funny knick-knacks, and even instant Ichiran ramen from Japan.

Once you’re done shopping (or while you’re shopping), you can also grab a cup of coffee or food from the Bean Brewers coffee kiosk in the store.

Unbox Greenhills is truly a must-visit if you’re in the Greenhills area and especially if you’re a collector. It’s probably the ultimate budol store for collectors and we wouldn’t blame you if just can’t walk out empty-handed.
