Redmi K30 Pro and Pro Zoom arrive with killer camera features

The Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom have been made official and with them come a powerful flagship processor, 5G connectivity, and an array of camera features with specializations depending on what you need.

Design for the K30 Pro comes with a high-end look for its back and a circular module for its quad-camera setup. These cameras are made up of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, 5-megapixel macro for close up shots, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for numerous applications.

The K30 Pro Zoom, on the other hand, swaps the macro sensor for an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, up to 30x hybrid zoom, and also comes with OIS. If you’re wondering, this is the only difference between the two models.

As for shooting videos, both record up to 8K resolution and selfies are handled by a 20-megapixel front camera that pops up.

Up front, we have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It comes equipped with a 60Hz refresh rate on its 20:9 aspect ratio screen. Additionally, it also has HDR10+ for more accurate colors and a built-in fingerprint scanner for added security.

Handling all the processing is Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865. It’s then paired with a choice of either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage. Powering the device is a 4700mAh battery pack that comes with fast charging.

Other features worthy of mentioning are its haptic vibration that the company says has been improved, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, a headphone jack, and even an IR blaster. The K30 Pro will be available in gray, purple, white, and blue color options.

Pricing for the Redmi K30 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 (approx. PhP 21.5K) for the 6GB/128GB variant, CNY 3,399 (approx. PhP 24.3K) for the 8GB/128GB model, and CNY 3,699 (approx. PhP 26.5K) for the 8GB/256GB option.

For the K30 Pro Zoom, however, the base model starts a bit higher at CNY 3,799 (approx. PhP 27.2K) and the 8GB/256GB variant will be priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. PhP 28.6K).

Both can be pre-ordered in China and devices are expected to roll out starting April.
