Honda’s new filter traps even liquid droplets in the air

Honda has just launched a new product fit for vehicles to make driving safer during the new normal. Called the Honda PM2.5 Cabin Air Filter, it’s a dust-collecting filter that has a high collection efficiency for PM2.5.

PM2.5 refers to atmospheric particulate matter that has a diameter of fewer than 2.5 micrometers. It’s basically a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the air. With Honda’s filter, air quality in the cabin should be improved that results in extended air-conditioning shelf life. Not to mention, cleaner air inside the vehicle.

The company says it captures 90-99% of various kinds of particulate matter including dust particles, mold spores, volcanic ash, as well as diesel and cigarette smoke. When a vehicle’s air vents are open, the filter keeps dust and harmful particulate matter out. For internal air circulation, it catches dust and other particles inside the cabin.

The Honda PM2.5 Cabin Air Filter is available at all Honda Cars dealerships nationwide for PhP 859 per piece (without installation/labor fee). For those interested in purchasing one, simply inquire at dealerships to secure one for your vehicle.
