Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Lite makes 5G accessible to more people

Xiaomi has further made 5G connectivity accessible to more users with the launch of the Mi 10 Lite 5G. This phone acts as the base offering in addition to the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro that the company has just launched through an online event. Although not carrying the same high-end hardware and features as its more expensive siblings, the Mi 10 Lite 5G is still loaded with capable components.

The handset comes in a 6.57-inch AMOLED TrueColor display while an under-display fingerprint sensor is also present for added layer of security.

It’s powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor with LiquidCool technology and you can opt for either 64GB or 128GB internal storage options. Specs for its RAM are still undisclosed but it should be somewhere around 6GB-8GB. Battery, on the other hand, is officially rated at 4160mAh and comes with a 20W fast charge technology.

Imaging is then handled by a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup with multiple shooting modes. For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel front camera which is designed as a waterdrop notch.

Available in white, black, and green, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G is expected to roll out in May at the following price points:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G (64GB) – EUR 349 (approx. PhP 19,800/US$ 387)
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G (128GB) – EUR 399 (approx. PhP 22,600/US$ 442)

With this pricing, it rivals the likes of ZTE Axon 11 which was also launched just recently.

OPPO Find X5 Pro camera review: Inching closer to pro

Smartphones have evolved by leaps and bounds in the last few years. But camera tech in particular has improved to the point that they can be considered professional tools. The OPPO Find X5 Pro is an example of just that — or at least that’s what it wants to be.

But being professional isn’t just the amount of megapixels or the number of cameras a phone has. With a combination of good hardware and software, smartphones can be extremely powerful photography and videography tools. With the OPPO Find X5 Pro, there are two things we can look forward to: the Hasselblad partnership and Marisilicon X.
